This blog is the story of Erin, who was diagnosed with the paediatric liver disease Biliary Atresia at 6 weeks of age. She had a liver transplant at 6 months old thanks to a very kind and generous donor. This story is primarily for friends and family who would like to follow her progress but also for anyone who is affected by this life changing illness.

Festive countdown
Editted highlights of the last 6 weeks or so
Erin has not had any allergic reactions since we cut out tomatoes, seriously not a single one *grins from ear to ear*
We managed full 3 months between scheduled bloods with no
emergencies thrown in to the mix, our next appointment for liver clinc
at Yorkhill in 13 MAY 2013!!! We have her yearly MOT in February at
Leeds in between so we have not abandoned all medical management.
Erin is now swallowing tablets, starting with the tiny pred ones we
are hoping to attempt her Tac pill in the New Year, she is being a super
star and likes to 'take all her pills' to be like her friend Phoebe.
Very proud mummy. Who would have thought pill swallowing was going to be
a developmental milestone that came before potty training??
Erin wanted to do a Chirstmas message for all her fans so it is
below, the song is Jingle Bells in case you are left wondering......
She
is quite taken with singing at the moment, as well as dressing up. She
loves to be Santa and doggie is Rudolph, below for more evidence......
She has asked Santa for toys, yellow presents and LOADSA Eeyores.
She
has an imagenary friend, a Princess called Eddie who lives in a castle
and always needing rescued, thankfully Eeyore and Erin are normally on
hand to help.
She is generally a bonkers, fun, wild,
sometimes too independant for her own good toddler and we are all
looking forward to the first Christmas together without the very likely
threat of spending in a hospital.
