Highs and lows

Our week started very well as Jamie and I were treated by my folks to a late 30th pressie to an overnight at the Old Course hotel in St Andrews. We had a lovely break while Erin had her Granpartents at her beck and call. We did a spot of sightseeing, shopping, spa relaxing and eating lots of yummy food! Erin was feeling much better and the diarrhoea was easing off.

A treat from the hotel!
Jamie enjoyed the golf course views
Jamie had the week off work so when we got back we spent a little time doing family things like trips to the local garden centres to see all the chirstmas decorations and a trip to a shopping centre to start our xmas shopping. Erin has very much enjoyed having her Daddy at home during the day.

Erin is enjoying the new toddler group we are attending, she had a great time there on Thursday, eating playdough and bouncying on the soft play things.

On Friday Jamie and I were helping friends move house so Erin had fun with Gran & Papa McIlvaney.
I even managed to sneak off to Edinburgh later in the evening on a work night out on a Ghost Walk which went under the streets of the city to the old city vaults, very spooky! It was great to catch up with the team and I'm (almost!) looking forward to going back in March.

On Saturday we went to the CLDF's under 5s teddy bears picnic in Stirling. Erin had a ball running around the hall playing with all the toys and other children. It was great to see some familiar faces as well as some new ones. Unfortunately, when we were almost home, Erin starting being sick which was closely followed by a lot of diarrhoea. This continued for 4 hours before she eventually fell asleep, poor lamb. She didn't eat anything different as we had our own picnic so I think she picked up a bug. She is much brighter this morning and has kept down some dry cereal and toast so fingers crossed she is over the worst.
