It was my own fault for jinxing it. Erin's 'well' spell has not lasted long. Yesterday I happened to get a good look in her mouth while she was eating and her tonsils looked enlarged and very red. Just for a change we toddled down to our local GP instead of the usual Yorkhill drive, variety is the spice of life and all that. She agreed that things looked fairly raw in the tonsil department so we left with antibiotics and a worn out Erin. Well it doesn't take a genius to work out what problem we have now.......our old friend diarrhoea has returned with avengance. So we have to keep an eye on her, take her straight to Yorkhill at the first sign of a fever and probably back in on Monday for bloods to check her Tac level. Not quite what we had planned for this weekend as we are hosting a charity casino night on Saturday in aid of the Children's Liver Disease Foundation, who will take bets on what time Erin will spike a temp on Saturday?
She is fairly bright in herself apart from the constant nappy changes so hopefully we caught this one early and we can keep her suitably hydrated and avoid a hospital trip.
Did I mention that I go back to work on Tuesday?????? The panic is beginning to set in.
