Leeds rang today to say they would like to have Erin back down next week for another scan. Although they have no immediate concerns they want to be on the safe side. The scan last week was supposed to rule out any narrowings in the 'plumbing' that can happen at this stage post transplant. The images and measurements they got did not give them enough information to satify the Senior Consultant Radiologist enough to say there are no narrowings with the Hepatic Artery as it was difficult to see. Soooo we are heading back down next Monday for a day on the ward on Tuesday so that the Senior Consultant Radiologist can do the scan herself. We are trying to stay calm and not worry unduly but it's hard when we have had so many knocks in the past, I very much doubt there will be much sleep in this house until we get the all clear next week......
To cheer me up here are some recent photos of little Miss Trouble. Her strength is coming on leaps and bounds and she has suddenly decided she can use her legs for something other than chewing.
Also look out for Erin in the Scottish Daily Record this week, we are not sure what day the story will run but we had an interview and photoshoot today. We are hoping the article will help raise awareness about biliary atresia and organ donation, if one new person joins the donor register it will have been worth it.
