Phew aaaaaand relax

I'm delighted to say the panic is over!  The outcome from our 24 hour trip to Leeds, involving a 50 minute ultrasound and a long day waiting for news on the ward and Erin's artery has been given the all clear. It would seem Little Miss Trouble is one of 20% of the population who have a slightly different arterial anatomy of the liver (shock horror!). Instead of having two branches of hepatic artery running off a main duct together she has one branch from the main duct and another from lower down the duct. This is entirely OK and was documented in her transplant notes but the surgeons handwriting was so bad no one could see it! This is why they were having difficulty seeing the artery which was eventually located and is flowing very well, much to our relief.

We are very relieved to say the least, I had a horrible sick feeling in my stomach all week. The mere thought of complications at the moment makes me nauseous.

The little naughty quite enjoyed the trip and was very determined to stay awake the entire time. This is a clip of her shenanigans while we stopped at services when she should have been in Z land.

In other news she has finally decided the beagles are actually OK and could possibly be quite good allies.

I dread to think how much mischief these girls might get into in the future lol.

A story appeared in the Scottish Daily Record on Saturday about Erin's transplant and you can see it here if you would like to read it - Erin's article. I was a bit nervous about doing it but I think it was good and has hopefully raised awareness.
