Almost forgot to mention out new digs. We have moved out of our wee room and into the 'transplant flat' in Eckersley House! It is really lovely and has a bedroom, bathroom and kitchen/sitting room. It is ours for as long as we are here and will let us have a halfway house when Erin is fit to leave the ward but not really go all the way home. It means we don't need to share facilities which is ideal for Erin's 'quarantine' period post transplant. We are amazingly lucky to have this available to us and so grateful to the Sick Childrens Trust for putting us up here, I have no idea what we would have done without them.

Delighted to hear how well Erin is doing. The Liver transpalnt team here are even stopping me in the corridor to ask for news so I can tell them tomorrow that all is well. One of our surgeons Ian Currie has ben especially interested - he worked in the Leeds Unit for a wee while last year.
