It was a long journey home though and we were all shattered when we eventually rolled in at 7.30pm. It was all a bit much for tiddles and she was a bit unsettled for a couple of hours. The beagles were so pleased to have us back but after a big fuss being made of them they retreated back to the couch like it was any other day. Erin was a bit wary of them to begin with and is still keeping a close eye on Hannah in particular, not quite sure how she has offended her but I'm sure she'll get over it.
We were visiting Yorkhill today for bloods and all her LFTs are still normal : ) We need to go twice a week for a bit longer just to make sure all the potassium/Tac issue stays away then we'll go just once a week. It was lovely to be able to show her off to the team in Glasgow, she was full of smiles and wooed all the nurses. Everyone was so pleased to see how well she is looking although she has lost a weeny bit of weight and is now 6.86kg (15lbs 2oz), we are putting it down to the change in scales and are going to think heavier thoughts on Mondays visit.
We have been so amazed by the daily improvement in Erin's physical strength and general happiness, she wakes up brimming with smiles (albeit at 5am!) and giggles away to her toys all day, its so nice to see. She is developing quite a personality too and is clearly going to remain a tough cookie, its getting quite a challenge to give her all the meds as she is so fly and keeps her mouth shut when she sees the syringes. She has even developed a strange cry to let us know her disgust without actually opening her mouth to stop any meds being sneaked in, its very amusing.

Although we are really missing Aunty Marie, who lives in Leeds, we have all gotten used to seeing her everyday but looking forward to her visit home next week.

Really missing all 3 of you too but can't wait to visit you'se in the comfort of your own home (although i'm with Erin on the Beagles front, keeping them at arms legnth is always best, especially if you're wearing black!!!) xxxx
ReplyDeleteWonderful update to read. May Erin continue onwards and upwards and keep that fighting spirit. And for the weight issue - I recommend a brick in the nappy! ;)
